Job description
Southern Cross Institute (SCI) is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to join its IT team and support the improvement, integration and optimisation of enterprise systems within a growing higher education environment. The role involves working closely with academic, administrative and technical teams to analyse business requirements, enhance systems, support digital transformation initiatives and deliver technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and student experience. Responsibilities include gathering and documenting business, functional and technical requirements, analysing business processes, identifying system inefficiencies, recommending improvements, preparing Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process maps, workflow diagrams and system documentation. The Systems Analyst will support system design, implementation, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), post-implementation reviews, system maintenance, user training and ongoing application support. The role also involves supporting enterprise applications including Student Management Systems, Learning Management Systems and cloud-based platforms while collaborating with software developers, vendors and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions.
