Job description
Reporting to the Program Director (Digital Lead), the Project Director is responsible for delivering large-scale, complex and high-risk IM/ICT projects within the eHealth Digital Capital Program. The role focuses on customer-centric delivery, ensuring project outcomes are achieved and enterprise solutions are delivered in alignment with Queensland Health policies, strategies and architecture standards. The Project Director will provide expert advice and strategic input into project deliverables, manage project lifecycle activities, lead multidisciplinary project teams, and ensure delivery against agreed budgets, schedules and quality standards. Key responsibilities include developing project strategies, frameworks and plans, managing risks and issues, negotiating with internal and external stakeholders, mentoring project teams, and driving successful delivery of large infrastructure and digital health programs. The successful candidate will have extensive experience managing complex ICT projects, preferably using PRINCE2 methodologies, with strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. Health sector experience and project management qualifications are highly regarded.
