Machine Operative - Days

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 7:00am - 7:00pm (flexibility to start at 6:45am when required). Salary: £14.67 per hour. Greencore is one of the UK's leading creators of convenience food following the combination with Bakkavor in January 2026. The Wisbech site has over 525 colleagues and manufactures premium chilled ready-to-cook meals for major retailers including Sainsbury's, Aldi and Co-op. As a Machine Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring production lines operate safely, efficiently and meet quality standards. Responsibilities include setting up, operating and monitoring production machinery, ensuring machines achieve production targets, carrying out basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting minor issues, monitoring product quality, completing routine machine checks, reporting faults and breakdowns, working with Production Supervisors, Team Leaders and Engineers to minimise downtime, following Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP and GMP procedures, completing production records, supporting machine changeovers, maintaining housekeeping standards and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and safety. Full training will be provided, but manufacturing or production experience is advantageous. Candidates should have good health and safety awareness, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, willingness to learn, reliability and good teamwork skills.
