Lead – Quality Head | Transmission Tower Manufacturing Plant Department: Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC) Reporting To: Plant Head Experience: 18– 28 Years Qualification: B.E./B.Tech / Diploma - in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Production Role Summary--- The Lead – Quality Head will be responsible for establishing and driving the Quality Management System (QMS) across the transmission tower manufacturing plant. The role will ensure product quality, compliance with customer specifications, national and international standards, and continuous improvement across fabrication, galvanizing, inspection, and dispatch processes. Key Responsibilities-- 1-Quality Management a-Lead the QA/QC function for transmission tower manufacturing operations. b-Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer specifications, and applicable industry standards. c-Develop and implement quality policies, SOPs, inspection plans, and quality control procedures. d-Drive a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. 2-Manufacturing Quality Assurance a-Ensure quality control across raw material inspection, fabrication, welding, punching, drilling, assembly, galvanizing, packing, and dispatch. b-Monitor dimensional accuracy, fit-up, and structural compliance of tower members. c-Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality documentation. d-Ensure proper traceability of raw materials and finished products. 3-Inspection & Testing a-Lead incoming, in-process, and final inspections. b-Coordinate third-party inspections and customer audits. c-Ensure compliance with welding quality requirements, galvanizing thickness, coating adhesion, and dimensional tolerances. d-Monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). 4-Quality Improvement a-Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 8D, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma initiatives. b-Reduce rework, rejection, customer complaints, and quality costs. c-Establish quality KPIs and monitor plant performance. d-People & Stakeholder Management 5-Lead and develop QA/QC teams, inspectors, and laboratory personnel. a-Coordinate with Production, Planning, Design, Procurement, and Project teams. b-Interface with customers, consultants, certification agencies, and third-party inspectors.
