Job description
SHI India is hiring a Solution Architect (Core Data Center) to support the presales team by designing and delivering enterprise data center solutions tailored to customer requirements. The role involves collaborating closely with the sales team to understand client business needs, designing scalable infrastructure solutions, and providing technical consulting throughout the sales lifecycle. The candidate will serve as the primary technical advisor for customers, conduct technical presentations, workshops, product demonstrations, proof-of-concept (POC) implementations, and solution discussions. Responsibilities include designing solutions using servers (HPE, Dell, Lenovo, Cisco), storage platforms (HPE, Dell, NetApp), virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (Nutanix, VSAN), High Performance Computing (HPC), backup solutions, Red Hat OpenShift, OpenStack, and related Core Data Center technologies. The Solution Architect will prepare technical proposals, architecture diagrams, RFP/RFI responses, infrastructure designs, and solution documentation while working closely with product management and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and improve solution offerings. The role requires staying updated on emerging technologies, market trends, and competitor solutions, supporting customers during technical evaluations, and assisting with project implementation when required. Candidates should have strong expertise in data center architecture, infrastructure design, storage, networking, virtualization, HCI, and cloud technologies, excellent analytical, presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Certifications such as VMware, Nutanix, NetApp, Citrix, Cisco, or Microsoft are considered an added advantage. The position may require travel to customer locations for meetings, presentations, and solution deployments.
